Within the Global Markets business line, MARK/BMO teams aim at helping MARK's development and at the same time preventing operational risks.
A global team and a key partner for MARK business lines and activities to enable MARK to do what it does best – serve the needs of its clients in secured way.
Combining process and business expertise, quality of execution, technology advisory, innovative solutions and operational risk prevention, MARK/EQD/BTO/BMO is a trusted advisor helping to ensure the highest service levels to clients.
MARK/BMO plays a pivotal role in coordinating with Support and Control functions in Finance, IT, Operations, Risks, Compliance and Legal.
Run day-to-day operations while also delivering on business critical key projects, such as new business, regulations or transformation
MARK/BMO aims at supporting and controlling MARK Flow Sales teams (MARK/EQD/SLS/FLO). The MARK Flow Sales teams sell vanilla equity derivatives and light-exotic which predominantly consist of equity options (OTC and listed) and option strategies, futures and forwards, equity swaps, variance & volatility swaps, and dispersions. Their clients are Professional clients (including Eligible clients) and include Asset Managers, Pension Funds, Insurance companies, Banks, proprietary trading desks and Hedge Funds.
Summary of the key purposes of the role
The role is to work in the BMO team supporting the UK & Europe Flow sales and Prime Services Sales teams.
The successful candidate will work closely with the team, supporting them in managing all business driven and regulatory initiatives impacting the activities. They will have the opportunity to gain in depth knowledge about the business and will interact with a wide variety of people in the SG group, both in the Flow and Prime Services business line and in the wider Global Markets Business.
The role requires strong analytical skills plus the ability to liaise with managers, understand the issues and work towards delivering solutions in agreed timeframes.

- significant contacts with other teams within the bank: Front Office, BMO (Business Management Office), Compliance, Marketing, CLD (Client Lifecycle and Digital) and other support functions

Summary of responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and follow-up of the Committees (Agenda and minutes) for the MARK Flow sales management as well as the Prime brokerage and Clearing department.
- Assist in the monitoring and reporting of the activities to the management: PnL, Hit ratio & client analysis
- Assist with the management of regulatory and business driven initiatives for Flow and Prime Services (including automation and digitalization projects)
- Liaise with internal departments and drive through requirements generated by Flow and Prime Services sales
- Assist on the preparation and distribution of monthly Global and UK KYC (Know Your Customer) waves. Co-ordinate follow-ups accordingly.
- Assist on all ad hoc KYC remediations and dormant account population management.
- Assist in developing analyses and summary messages for senior management
- Any other transversal tasks related to strategic projects and strategic planning

Profile required
Competencies
- Quantitative skills – good usage of Excel and figures manipulation
- Analytical skills – ability to comment figures and prepare synthesis
- Interpersonal relations – ability to establish good working relationships with junior and senior members of the department
- Communication skills – concise written style, ability to be straight to the point. Power point / presentation skills are a must have
- Rigor – detail oriented, accurate in production
- Autonomy – ability to take initiative and follow-up on tasks without being prompted
- Motivation – curious, wanting to learn, not afraid to ask questions when unclear about what is expected but also able to look up information autonomously
- Technical skills – good proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint are a must; VBA and Access are optional
- Finance & Capital Market environment knowledge (academic, first hand prior experience through internship would be a plus)
- Language: English – fluent, French – desirable
