Trainee Breakfast Chef - part time Southampton, England
Job description
We are looking for a Trainee Chef to join our team on a part time basis.
The role will be part time and will suit someone who is passionate about food. We need someone who is creative, has real pride in presentation.
You will be working singlehanded during quiet periods, but alongside our experienced head chef over busier days such as Saturday and Sunday. The coffee shop sits in the region of 15/18 covers maximum, meaning our menu will be petite yet well executed!
The types of cooking you will be doing are as follows:
- Breakfasts, a simple yet delicate menu including French Toast, Smashed Avocado on sourdough.
-Home bakes including decadent brownies, cakes, loafs and much more
- Prepping charcuterie and cheese boards for evenings
- Making your own sauces and chutneys
Responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining allergen checklists and daily check sheets
- Clean downs of the kitchen and ensuring all equipment is well maintained
- Sourcing local and seasonal ingredients which will be incorporated into menu
- Creating weekly specials
The applicant must have studied catering and have food hygiene qualifications.
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: £10.00-£12.00 per hour
