TRAINEE PROPELLER TECHNICIAN

Responsible To

The post holder is directly responsible to and managed by the Workshop Manager. However, the post holder may also receive instructions from the Operations Manager or Managing Director, who is in overall charge of the Company.

Overall Purpose of the Job

The post holder’s primary purpose is to provide support to the Workshop Manager. To assist them by proactive involvement in the smooth-running day-to-day operations of the workshop.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

· To carry out aircraft propeller or other associated components disassembly and cleaning, using standard hand tools and measuring equipment.

· To carry out Plastic Media (PMB) and glass blasting

· To process aluminium blade grinding

· To carry out detailed blade inspections

· The ability to work effectively within a small team with minimum supervision

· The ability to be responsible for their own work

· To have a strong work ethic and pride in their work

· To carry out any other reasonable task required by management

Person specification

The Trainee Propeller Technician should ideally have previous experience of working within an engineering background. Aviation industry experience is not essential. Full on job training will be provided.

Qualifications

The Trainee Propeller Technician should be computer literate (Word, Excel, Microsoft Office).

To have an engineering qualification is not essential, however this would be advantageous.

To have a reasonable fitness level and well-being (due to some heavy lifting as and when required)

Schedule:
