About the role
As a Trainee Assistant Merchandiser on our Stock Placement team, you will support key strategic elements of availability and stock management. Reporting directly into the Assistant Merchandiser on Stock Placement you will support the stock placement function within the Central Merch function.
As our Trainee Assistant Merchandiser on Stock Placement, you will be:
- Working within the stock placement systems and reporting to ensure stock is allocated to all channels in right quantities at the right time.
- Working with wider trading teams to manage the current and future stock levels within your departments to fully optimize size availability, maximising in line with customer sales trends and profiles.
- Understanding the importance of accurate stock placement parameters at launch and throughout the product life cycle, across all channels.
- Assisting the development of Stock Placement Best Practice.
- Supporting the Optimisation of Stock Placement for the DC operations.
- Assisting with the training programme for new starters and any ongoing stock placement training.
- Updating and maintaining stock placement reports and identifying any risks and opportunities to stock placement manager to aid effective stock placement
About You
- Ideally degree level or equivalent
- Good eye for attention to detail
- Experience of working to deadlines
- Strong organisational skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Ability to communicate at all levels
