As part of the Council’s Annual Apprenticeship Program, we have an amazing opportunity to gain work experience as Applications Support Analyst with our ICT - Xentrall Shared Services team based in Darlington, whilst studying towards a Level 4 Application Support Lead apprenticeship qualification. Xentrall Shared Services is a groundbreaking public/public partnership between Stockton-on-Tees and Darlington Borough Councils. We provide a wide range of support services to Councils, Schools and Academies by the teams in Xentrall HR and Payroll, Finance, ICT and Design and Print.
The role will be working within an experienced local government ICT Application Support team that support multiple line of business applications. The job will have you working across databases, applications, both on-premise, hosted and cloud, interacting with customers, end users, and suppliers, in a busy, dynamic environment.
As this is an apprenticeship opportunity, you will be provided with all the training and support you need to be a success. We are looking for someone with the following qualifications, personal attributes, skills and behaviours:
• A Level 3 qualification (Expected or Obtained) or the equivalent level of work experience.
• English Language & Maths Level 2 qualifications - GCSE at Grade C / 4 or above or equivalent Level 2 Functional Skills (Obtained)
• Analytical and Logical thinker
• Communication skills - listening, spoken and written
• Team player who is not afraid to try something new
• Commitment to own personal and professional development
