Fawkes and Reece are currently assisting an award-winning and long-established main contractor on an exclusive basis with their search for an experience Pre-Construction Manager to join their Essex-based team.
The business delivers major residential and regeneration developments across London and the Southeast, with projects valued up to £150m.The business are also a key part of several major national housing frameworks (both RC Frame and Traditional build schemes)
Reporting to the Pre-Construction Director, the Pre-construction Manager will assemble a bid team with the relevant knowledge and skills to prepare a winning bid, whilst taking ownership of the end-to-end bid process and implementation of all necessary bid procedures and processes.
Candidates should ideally be able to demonstrate their experience of overseeing a variety of construction bids in a wide range of sectors adopting a range of construction techniques. Residential experience would be highly beneficial.
The main role of a Pre-Construction Manager is to lead the procurement teams to deliver profitable, de-risked, winning bids on time and to the highest quality whilst maintaining external relationships.
In this role, not only will you identify opportunities to add value and to identify risks / solutions throughout the project process but you will also reinforce and deliver our client's customer first ethic; internally and externally.

Essential Criteria
- Have the ability to prepare basic programmes and understand the planning process
- Have a track record of successful bid/tender delivery
- Have proven experience of managing the procurement process
- Have a good understanding of site requirements in respect of preliminaries items
- Minimum relevant level 4 qualification (HNC/HND etc).
- Appropriate CSCS card.
