The role

As a Train Driver, you will be required to operate and drive on track machines within the required rules.

Day to day, you will...

Operate and/or drive “On-Track” machines for which certification of competency has been obtained.
Extensive route knowledge in Scotland required or willing to learn
Carry out servicing, cleaning and fuelling of machines as directed and carry out minor repairs.
Arrange to complete and return all associated paperwork. This includes Phires Forms, signing of log books and other documentation as required.
Comply with all Rules and Regulations and observe all local conditions.

Essential experience of the Train Driver,

Train Driving licence is essential, and PTS and DP would be useful.
Good knowledge of Permanent Way Rules and Regulations, procedures and track safety rules is advantageous.
Knowledge of Drivers Rules and Regulations is essential.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve BPSS and SC security clearance level for this role.
