Job Title: Train Driver

The role
As a Train Driver, you will be required to operate and drive on track machines within the required rules.
Day to day, you will...
- Operate and/or drive “On-Track” machines for which certification of competency has been obtained.
- Extensive route knowledge in Scotland required or willing to learn
- Carry out servicing, cleaning and fuelling of machines as directed and carry out minor repairs.
- Arrange to complete and return all associated paperwork. This includes Phires Forms, signing of log books and other documentation as required.
- Comply with all Rules and Regulations and observe all local conditions.
Essential experience of the Train Driver,
- Train Driving licence is essential, and PTS and DP would be useful.
- Good knowledge of Permanent Way Rules and Regulations, procedures and track safety rules is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Drivers Rules and Regulations is essential.
The successful candidate must be able to achieve BPSS and SC security clearance level for this role.
