We are looking for a Traffic Manager in our depot to be part of a team that works together to provide excellent service. You will be a key part of the Tuffnells team and play a huge part in our growth and success. This role is about more than just providing great service, it is about putting our customers at the heart of what we do every day.
This role is working 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday 08:30 - 17:30

As a Traffic Manager, you will lead and manage a team in the traffic office and a team of drivers to ensure excellent performance and service on the road. You will investigate incidents of service failures and work closely with the customer service team to ensure the customer is updated. You will support the team in their roles to fully brief and de-brief the drivers and manage any escalations.
You will need to
- Have experience in managing a team, ideally experience managing drivers
- Ideally have experience working within a transport operation
- Demonstrate a background of success in achieving and exceeding targets whilst delivering an outstanding experience in a fast-paced environment
- Have strong communication skills and the ability to build excellent relationships with team members
- Be computer literate and confident in the use of technology and IT systems
- Have a practical knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety
- Be motivated and passionate
- Have a strong work ethic and desire to work as a team to help Tuffnells succeed
- Ideally have experience working within the Supply chain, logistics, FMCG, warehouse or distribution sector
