Our Company
Road Traffic Solutions is an expanding and progressive business that have been operating since 2004. We provide a number of services all over the country from Traffic and Event Management on some of the UK’s most prestigious Mass Participation Events to Access Solutions and Site CCTV.
Our Role
As a Traffic Management Surveyor/CAD Drawer, you will be required to attend site meetings with both customers and local authorities to agree suitable traffic management requirements for proposed works in the South. The results of these meetings will need to be recorded and put in to a survey format with all relevant information to enable our CAD Team to produce TM Plans. Once the TM Plans are produced you will be required to check that they meet the requirements agreed on site. Alongside this you will be required to produce CAD Traffic Management Plans for a variety of works and locations. We maintain a very high standard with our Traffic Management Plans and pride ourselves on the quality, accuracy and attention to detail that our plans provide.
Key Responsibilities
Reportable to the Drawing Team Lead, you will manage your diary to meet the companies needs for site meetings and utilise spare time to produce 2D CAD drawings to a Chapter 8 Standard utilising Bricscad. Scenarios will include but are not limited to Portable Traffic Signals, Road Closures, Lane Closures, Stop/Go and Priority Systems.
You will liaise with various departments within the company as well as our clients and local authorities to ensure that the traffic management scenarios devised are safe and suitable as well as giving updates on progress.
You will be well organised, motivated and show initiative whilst being able to work to set timescales. You should show great aptitude for teamwork, communicating well with colleagues to ensure that department and client KPIs are met.
Experience and Qualifications
Essential:
- Basic Computing Skills and experience in Microsoft Office
- Customer Service skills - liaising with customers and local authorities through Phone & E-mail
- Experience with CAD technology
- Strong knowledge of Temporary Traffic Management
- Familiar with Chapter 8 and New Roads & Streetworks Legislation
- Driving Licence
- Unit 2/O1 Signing, Lighting & Guarding Qualification
Desirable:
- Previous experience in a surveying role would be preferred
