We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic team. The post is 37.5 hours working as a Band 3 Therapy Assistant within our Surgical Respiratory Team. The team covers across ICU, Respiratory, Vascular and the Surgical wards. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work across the clinical areas to gain a breadth of experience.

The successful candidate will provide support and assistance to the Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists during multi-disciplinary assessment and treatment of patients within the clinical team. The role requires excellent communication skills, liaising with patients, families and their carers, as well as the immediate clinical and wider multidisciplinary team. The role works clinically under the supervision of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Assistant Therapy Practitioners for all aspects of patient care and treatment, equipment provision and documentation.

It is expected that the post holder will contribute to seven-day services.

This is a fixed-term position until 1st April 2024.
