About the Job:
The People Manager’s primary responsibility will be to manage the HR team and its activities, you will be expected to carry out a wide range of duties to support the organisation’s People function.
This role will ensure that all managers and teams are provided with an essential HR service, guaranteeing high standards are adopted within all elements of HR throughout the business. Giving end to end support, this hands-on HR Manager will manage a team of 2 HR Administrators and will get involved in the building and implementation of People department policies & procedures, supporting the maintenance of the HRIS, providing HR advice and support to managers, and everything in between. The role offers great levels of experience to be gained within a very challenging and demanding operation.
This is an all-encompassing role with a mix of management and delivery, perfect for a HR professional wanting to move on in their career.
About you:
To be successful in this role, you must be a proactive self-starter with excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail. You must be able to think outside the box and have the confidence to offer solutions. As part of the People team, it is imperative you are a people person. You must have previous experience in liaising with people at all levels within a company and be comfortable offering advice and guidance to stakeholders.
Management of HR function and the HR team
Development and implementation of policies & procedures, along with supported documentation and processes
Manage staff relationships, promptly respond to queries, and manage expectations
Ensure Human Resources matters are handled fairly and consistently in line with legal and company requirements
Support the business in providing a comprehensive HR service to employees and line managers
Provide general HR assistance, providing a link between the operations and HR function
Provide an advisory service to employees ensuring that they are fully aware of their rights and entitlements
Manage the creation and maintenance of all HR trackers, such as LTS, Disciplinary, and Grievance, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
Support with weekly & month end reporting requirements, ensuring accuracy and delivery on time.
Complete general HR admin and support to the HR/People team as required
Support management with grievance, disciplinary and capability investigations, and hearings
Keep regular updates on all management information and overall people performance
Work in partnership with line managers on performance management, employee relations, resourcing, and staff management/development
Developing a good working relationship with the operational and shared service teams.

Previous HR experience as a business partner or management capacity
