We are looking for a person (Must have BSc Psychology/Psychology related) to join our early intervention programme for young children with delayed development issues. Our growing Therapy centre, ESCSC (Elijah Social Cognitive Skills Centre) is based in Temple Fortune, North London.
We are looking for a person to work Monday , Tuesday and Wednesday .
Dr Debora Elijah, Director of the Elijah Social Cognitive Skills Centre, and associates, use a multi-disciplinary approach on a mixed abilities group of children (between ages 2 and 4) to help support mainstream schooling and prevent the need for attending a special needs school. Therapists and specialists include a Cognitive Neuropsychologist, Speech and Language Therapist, Art and Communication Therapist and Occupational Therapist, working together in a school type setting to deliver a cohesive framework for developing social skills and to promote independent, constructive play. The students would be supporting the therapists in a number of key areas:-
- Helping the therapists transition from one activity to another
- Facilitating the successful delivery of the programme goals
- Aiding children with their exercises and activities
- Helping track the programme goals for each child at the end of each class
- Assisting with the general well being of the child
- To keep confidential all information regarding the children.
- To ensure all activities are replenished after each programme.
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 12-16 per week
Salary: From £14.00 per hour
