Test Engineer (Manual)

Primary purpose of role: Ensuring quality of functionally rich applications that delight customers
Required Experience:
- Ideally 2 to 4 years of experience
- Performing planning of test activities for the assigned area of the project(s), develop test plans, test scenarios and test cases
- Ensure effective quality control during development
- Work with developers during execution stages of the project to resolve quickly and effectively the issues found
- Design, develop and maintain test cases, adhering to best practise
- Experience testing front end and back end systems
- Ensure strict correspondence between solutions developed and customer requirements
- Analysis of functional and non-functional use cases, and identification of automation candidates
- Creation of clear, meaningful Test Result Reports
- Being highly delivery focused and engaging effectively with all types of team members to drive projects forwards
- Other tasks as reasonably requested
Skills:
Candidates are expected to have all of the following skills;
- Passionate about quality
- An eye for detail
- Strong knowledge of testing theory and understanding of software verification
- Ability to drive testing processes starting from planning phase to test execution, bug fixing and support
- Knowledge of bug-tracking tools
- Excellent communicator, capable of engaging at all levels with customers
- Test Planning and estimation
Candidates are expected to have some of the following skills;
- Experienced in non-functional testing
- Excellent technical investigation skills
- Experienced in API testing, using relevant toolsets
- Automation experience using Selenium or similar
