Job Title: Accountant

Job Type: Remote with occasional travel to Central Edinburgh, near Haymarket station

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Accountant, either professionally qualified or qualified by experience, to join a well-established accountancy firm. This role involves working closely with an experienced, friendly and knowledgeable Partner, delivering a broad range of services to a robust portfolio of SME clients. The responsibilities of this position can be slightly tailored to the successful candidate, adding a unique touch to this exceptional opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of accounts for a diverse range of SME clients.
• Ensuring compliance with corporate tax requirements and offering basic advisory services.
• Managing personal tax compliance and providing basic advisory services.
• Delivering advisory services such as management accounts and forecasting.
• Collaborating closely with the Partner and potentially other team members.

Ideal Candidate:

• Either professionally qualified or qualified by experience in accounting.
• Some understanding of corporate and personal tax compliance.
• Possesses experience in delivering a wide range of accounting services, from account preparation to basic advisory.
• Enjoys working in a varied role and is comfortable managing diverse responsibilities.
• Adept at working remotely with occasional travel to the Edinburgh office.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £34,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
