About the Internship Programme
Our Investments Technology Solutions (ITS) team is at the heart of our business and responsible for developing and delivering our IT Strategy, managing our data, managing change programmes, developing and implementing software solutions, as well as maintaining the integrity and performance of our systems, infrastructure and applications.
The role of ITS is increasingly pivotal to the success of abrdn and we aim to deliver both the innovation and responsiveness needed in today’s competitive and fast-changing investment and regulatory landscape. ITS also ensures that our services and solutions are seamlessly aligned across our global platforms to enable every aspect of our business to operate smoothly and efficiently. ITS have over a thousand professionals operating out of 19 global locations.
We offer a variety of technology opportunities in the early stages of your career – from Technical roles such as Data Science, App development and Strategy & Architecture to Business roles such as supplier management, you will be involved in shaping and delivering Business Systems and Digital Technology Developments.
From day one, you’ll contribute to our ambitions whilst developing your skills and knowledge. Over the 10 week summer placement you will be given real work with tangible outputs within the ITS business, allowing you to gain exposure to real investment and business situations, with real responsibility.
Regardless of which team you join within the ITS business you will gain a depth of experience; getting the opportunity to work with seasoned professionals across our business and engage in development activities with your peers on the internship programme. You will be based with the same team throughout the placement.
During the 10 week internship programme you will build knowledge within the department you are in as well as having the opportunity to build a network with other interns and wider colleagues.
As well as on the job learning, you will have access to a wide range of e-learning courses and complete a structured development programme over 10 weeks that includes training, networking and gaining exposure to senior stakeholders across the business.
On completion of your summer internship you will be considered for a position on our 24-month rotational graduate programme starting in September 2023 or September 2024 within the ITS business. This programme gives graduates the chance to start their career in a highly supportive team environment, whilst gaining skills, experience along with support through further qualifications.
