Technician Grade 5 (Teaching and Research Support) Liverpool
Job description
You will support the practical sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate taught modules and act as a demonstrator whilst the practicals are running. The support extends to all disciplines within the School of Life Sciences and the Institute of Systems, Molecular & Integrative Biology as the needs require, including fieldwork and outreach activities.
You will act as a technical module lead supporting the academic, in one or more of the biological subject areas (i.e. Biochemistry, Microbiology, Molecular Biology). You must have the knowledge and practical experience in one or two of the above disciplines. You will supervise a small number of technicians who will assist you with the setup of the teaching practicals. You should be educated to BTEC Higher level (or equivalent) in a relevant subject.
