Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) is the largest of Scotland’s seven regional transport partnerships. We run the Glasgow Subway, a host of specialist bus services and are responsible for delivering better public transport for all.
The Subway has been modernised twice in its history with the previous modernisation taking place in the late 1970s. We are currently undertaking a £288m transformational project which will result in the Subway being one of the most advanced systems in Europe. As work on Subway Modernisation continues at pace this year, we are seeking a Document Controller who will manage all controlled project documentation for the Subway Modernisation project.
About the role
As a member of the Project Delivery Team, you will support the project by managing all controlled project documentation as well as controlling the information flow for all Subway Modernisation activities. You will manage the core document management system on SharePoint sites and control project information stored on SPT servers in support of project delivery. You will also provide support, guidance and on-the-job training in the use of the SharePoint system to other SPT staff.
About you
The successful candidate will have relevant educational qualifications as well as experience of working in a document control position in a project or engineering environment. You will have knowledge of business administration, document management and quality compliance processes as well as experience of electronic document management systems for example SharePoint. You will also have a good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
A self-motivated, reliable and capable individual with business administration skills and experience in delivering a challenging and complex programme of works. You will use your influencing and communication skills to work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure meticulous record management and drive improvement for the Subway Modernisation programme.

The nature of this role may require you to work outwith normal office hours on occasion to support the operational requirements of the organisation.
You will be based at Broomloan Depot, Govan, Glasgow. SPT is currently operating a hybrid working scheme which allows 50% home working.
