About The Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join our new team at the Oxford Community Diagnostic Centre, in partnership with Perspectum, supporting our MRI and CT service.

The role will involve meeting and greeting patients who are attending for MRI and CT scans, preparing them for their scan and assisting the radiographers.

You will be required to undertake IV cannulation, for which training can be given, immunisation against Hepatitis B will be required for this role. Should you not already have been immunised, we can support with arranging this.

As well as patient support, there will be some administrative tasks as part of our IT patient management processes.

This is a full time contract working 40 hours per week Monday – Sunday attracting a salary of between £22,672 - £24,335, dependant on experience.

Skills And Experience

We are looking for candidates who ideally have previous experience in healthcare and a self-motivated individual who can quickly grasp the general duties in this busy department.

As a successful candidate you should be able to demonstrate:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, together with a good standard of IT literacy.
  • Excellent time management skills are essential in order to prioritise your workload to ensure a high standard of patient care at all times.
  • Excellent rapport and communication skills with patients, customers and colleagues to provide highest standards of patient care and service
