An exciting opportunity exists to work with a dedicated team supporting students and staff within the field of Architecture and the wider Subject Area of Design and Architecture.
The post holder will be required to deliver a variety of induction programmes and workshops to student’s in Adobe Creative Suite and relevant industry standard CAD software packages of and processes. The post holder will also be expected to have knowledge of relevant processes within the production of plans, elevations, and sections to scale in both digital and physical forms.
Able to demonstrate effective techniques for visualisation, presentation, and communication of three-dimensional space including the creation and support of physical architectural modelmaking techniques.
A current knowledge of Health and Safety legislation relevant to the environment would be an advantage to the role.
The post holder will support a range of provision offered by the university, including Architecture provision, Innovation and Knowledge Exchange initiatives and AUB Open Campus projects in line with their technical expertise.
The post holder will also be responsible for ensuring the learning environment is adequately equipped, whilst supporting and supervising a diverse range of learners in using varying equipment and software.
You must be able to plan and organise a complex workload within a very busy and constantly changing environment and possess the ability to work independently and as a member of a team as required, providing a flexible approach to support the students’ learning experience. Evening cover may be required for this post.
A Level 3 qualification and/or equivalent experience is required and ideally candidates should possess a degree and/or equivalent, in a relevant subject. Experience of working with young adults in a teaching or training environment would also be advantageous.
