Technical Tutor (Photography)

The Media, Communications and Cultural Studies Department is a leader in the field of media theory and media practice, ranked 2nd in the UK and 11th globally in the latest QS World University rankings. The technical team work alongside academic staff providing technical workshops, tutorials, advice and support on all practice courses in the Department. The role holder will work within the technical team delivering technical teaching and advice for photography students and providing support for studios, darkrooms and digital lab.
You will be a team player with excellent communication skills, impeccable attention to detail, and the ability to work calmly under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Specialist knowledge of analogue and digital photography and experience of equipment used in processing, darkrooms, studios and digital labs is essential.
The post is 0.4FTE, but the hours are concentrated into three-day weeks during Autumn and Spring terms with some additional days preparing shows in June/July. More details are available from [email protected].
