Job description
We are looking to appoint a Technical Tutor pattern cutting to join our team at Epsom.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the BA Fashion Design course at Epsom. You will collaborate with the Academic team to collectively generate new course materials and develop learning activities specific to our Fashion Design course portfolio, where technical knowhow is match by creativity, experimentation and innovation.
The Fashion studios are a dynamic environment, and the purpose of this position is to support students in their development within this specialism. Providing technical workshops, inductions and demonstrations on processes, you will support students to understand, develop and push the creative possibilities of pattern cutting.
The successful applicant will have knowledge and experience of pattern cutting, materials, equipment and procedures associated with Fashion Design.
You will contribute to the care and day-to-day operation of the Fashion studios including the management and maintenance of specialist equipment and ensuring that the safety of our learners is always maintained.
You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to problem solve and apply initiative. Whilst working under pressure, you will be able to demonstrate a positive and flexible approach when working with students and staff. The ability to work as part of a team is essential.
