The opportunity


Working as a Technical Support Assistant within the Logistics Function, you’ll provide technical support and administration to our UK Electricity Transmission, Distribution & National Grid Ventures stakeholders and customers, continuing the team’s delivery of a first-class service.


Working on the Electricity Transmission (ET) electronic product catalogue, you’ll maintain the products and provide system support to your customers. You’ll be the main technical interface between customers, catalogue users and the Logistics team, focussing on aligning stock holdings with assets on the ET system.


Using your familiarity and knowledge of ET systems, you’ll be confident fielding regular technical queries relating to items in stock or part of the catalogue.


This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background or interest in Engineering to join a FTSE 100 organisation that supports the development of their people.

About you


  • Experience of working with a variety of stakeholders, building relationships and maintaining excellent levels of engagement.
  • Excellent communication skills, written, verbal and face to face.
  • Advanced IT skills including Microsoft Office, and an ability to understand, administer, and maintain complex systems and software packages without supervision.
  • Familiar with Electricity Transmission & Distribution systems, equipment, and spares sufficient to interpret data.
  • Engineering qualification or study towards such a qualification ideally.
  • Highly organised and able to plan and organise independently according to deadlines or priorities
  • Experience of Logistics or Supply Chain policies and procedures.

A salary of £30,378 – 35,738 per annum - dependent on experience.
