Avaliable Job Today We are looking for a Technical Sales Consultant to join our Sales & Pre-Sales team – This is a permanent role. If you have a broad technical knowledge of I.T. systems, we would love to hear from you.

We are looking for someone with clear technical understanding of the different components used to deploy our solutions. This is a fast-paced environment, so it is essential that you can manage a changing list of priorities.

This position is hybrid – remote with occasional travel to Chippenham.

Purpose of the role:

This is a significant role within our Sales & Pre-Sales team to be the driving force in following successful award of an opportunity, to support the handover process to the delivery team.
This role reports into the Head of Pre-Sales for the organisation.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with the sales team to promote our solutions products and capabilities to prospective customers.
  • Working closely with the sales team and other parts of the business in relation to specific opportunities, and
  • Understand the compliance and suitability of our solutions in line with customer requirements.
  • Identifying solution design and components required.
  • Identifying solution costs, working closely with other internal teams and third-party vendors, e.g., hardware or hosting vendors.
  • Leading elements of the governance process to obtain approval for proposed solution.
  • Articulating our solution suitability, compliance, and value in relation to
  • Customer proposals in relation to specific requirements.
  • Formal procurement processes such PQQ and tender responses.
  • Having a clear functional understanding of our different solutions and be able to demonstrate to prospective customers.

Our ideal candidate will have/be:

  • A demonstrable track record of experience and success in a similar position.
  • Knowledge of management applications OR Command and Control solutions.
  • An understanding of cloud deployment technologies such as Microsoft Azure.
  • A comfortable presentation style coming across clearly and knowledgeably.
  • The ability to communicate comfortably both internally and externally with a range of stakeholders from practitioners
  • Ability to read the audience to gauge reception and adapt accordingly.
  • Good written skills experience of documenting and costing commercial proposals and writing compelling propositions for customers.
  • Awareness of commercial models and contractual terms.
