Position: Health & Safety Manager
Location: Thrapston, Northampton
Salary: £35,000-£40,000
Shift pattern: Monday-Friday. Day-time hours
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Closing Date: 24th April 2023

We make promises to our customers, and we'll make promises to you too. The key responsibilities in this role include;

  • Take responsibility for the full scope of HSE activities within the cluster and carry out regular reviews.
  • Ensure adequate Safety, Health and Environmental guidance is provided to the site.
  • Control the input and retrieval of information to and from the companies H&S Safety software management system and carry out regular trend analysis.
  • To create and maintain a short, medium and long term Health & Safety improvement plan and programme manage the implementation of Health & Safety initiatives across the business.
  • To provide training and development in order to ensure risk assessments and safe systems of work are developed and maintained.
  • To provide coaching to improve the quality of assessments and control measures.
  • Ensuring accident investigations are completed in a timely manner and actions are implemented to prevent reoccurrence at the site.
  • Provide Regular communication, reports on performance and issues to all stakeholders.

  • Previous experience within a similar role, within an Operational/Logistics environment is essential.
  • Must hold a NEBOSH certificate.
  • Excellent communication skills – Verbal and written.
  • ITRTB or equivalent would be beneficial.
  • Experience of business continuity and incident management.
  • Exceptional understanding of all relevant H&S Regulations applicable to warehouse environment.
  • Keen eye to details to identify root causes and continuous improvement.
