Bosch Rexroth is one of the world’s leading specialists in the field of drive and control technologies. Under the brand name of Rexroth the company supplies customers with tailored solutions for driving, controlling and moving industrial applications, factory automation equipment, mobile applications and renewable power generation. At our plant in Glenrothes, Scotland we design, develop and produce radial piston motors working in partnership with world renowned international OEM’s in industries such as material handling, construction and forestry machinery.
Our trainee programme as a "Technical Sales Graduate" is your career start in an internationally successful company. In 18-24 months, you will pass through specialist departments in our plant in Glenrothes and abroad that are individually tailored to you.
What will you be doing?
- To acquire an in-depth insight and understanding of the sales function within Bosch Rexroth with the possibility of being placed in various areas within the Sales environment. This will include technical office/field Sales, Product management or other specialist areas including Business Development.
- Undertaking technical and project tasks along with operational and strategic responsibilities such as involvement in state-of-the-art Sales and Customer solutions within the network of mobile hydraulics.
- Together with us, you will gain experience of our diverse product and service portfolio and get to know the operational sales business as well as our internal development processes.
- Supporting direct Customer accounts and the Bosch Rexroth global Sales organisation.
What are we looking for?
In the Graduate Specialist Programme (GSP), you are in good hands as a technical ace with a good feel for current market developments. You can combine your passion for industrial technology and your understanding of market economics. You are a sales talent and have the desire to sell our factory automation products at Bosch Rexroth. You are characterised by your ability to think outside the box, to drive issues forward and to inspire people with your ideas. In addition, you bring the following with you:
- Education: Master’s degree in Business and/or Engineering
- Software and IT knowledge: Preferably experience or knowledge of SAP or similar ERP system, Conversant in Microsoft office products.
- Experience and know-how: Challenging industrial internships or initial work experience in a technical environment (E.g. technical sales, product management), ideally with experience in customer contact in a technical capacity.
- Analytical skills: What is required to develop and deliver sales and marketing targets.
- Soft skills: Excellent communication skills, high level of self-motivation and commitment, enjoys contact with customers, enjoys new ideas, goal and result orientated and a team player.
- Mobility: Willingness to travel at home and abroad
Additional Information
You will be reporting to the Director of Sales and would be required to work 37 hours per week. This is a permanent position, and you would initially be a trainee for a period of 18-24 months.
You will be required to evidence your right to work in the UK, as we are unable to sponsor the employment of international workers in this role. International applicants would not be provided with a Skilled Worker visa for this role and will only be able to take up this role if they can demonstrate an alternative right to work in the UK.
