Technical Sales Representative - Lincolnshire
The main purpose of the job is to promote the Seminis brand & portfolio to achieve area sales targets by generating the demand at farm level and throughout the chain. Create sales opportunities by planning, executing and data collection of trials based on good local knowledge of the products.
Major Tasks and Responsibilities
- Cultivate strong relationships and build trust with advisors and key growers, facilitating the sale of commercial products to reach Sales targets.
- Successfully partner and manage the relationship with top growers and key accounts, act as the business expert, and negotiate and plan for customer needs including product performance inquiries
- Ensure and log customer satisfaction of pre-commercial & new introductions including customer feedback
- Demonstrate proof of product performance against the competition by being the champion of and promoting Seminis brands and product / technical / agronomic knowledge.
- Support with planning and organisation of industry events, attendance at grower associations events
- Share market intelligence required for the commercial success of our business with relevant internal departments
- Provide sales forecast to Sales Manager
- Develop account plans with clear targets and communicate & agree action plans for key growers
- Trial planning, implementation & follow up including data input
- Submit monthly market update & technical reports
Who you are?
- Bachelor degree in agronomy or agriculture & BASIS qualification preferred
- Fluent verbal and written language skills in English
- Local market knowledge
- Track record in sales
- Technical product knowledge of field crops, especially brassica crops
- Results driven and customer focused
- Communication, negotiation and presentation skills
- Organisational and planning skills
- Valid full driving licence & willing to travel within UK and Europe.
- Autonomy, self motivation & show strong initiative
- Flexibility, willing to adapt & change according to business needs
Position is a field based role predominantly covering Lincolnshire but travel to other areas will be necessary. Someone living in or near to territory is preferred.
