Joining Ogi is a unique opportunity to work within an innovative Welsh business and one of the fastest-growing companies in Wales.

The Technical Project Manager (TPM) will be responsible for the day-to-day, detailed project management of the active network rollout including active cabinets (mini-exchanges) in our local build areas, points of presence (PoPs) on our backhaul network, core network PoPs at data centres and the connectivity between all of these.

You’re just as likely to find our CTOO & Director of Network Engineering & Operations out on-site rolling their sleeves up as you are to find them in the weeds at our state-of-the-art NOC in Cardiff or Network Lab in Newport. The same is expected in this role, as the team grows so will responsibilities however you should expect to put your critical thinking skills to good use across our network both in the office as well as the field.
What you’ll be doing…
The TPM will plan, lead, coordinate and manage the active network deployment projects on a day-to-day basis. Working closely with Stakeholders, our Network Build Teams, and suppliers, you’ll manage delivery, risks, and issues to ensure the network is ready for service on time, on budget and to the right level of quality/documentation/testing as well as smooth handover to Network Operations.
If you’ve worked in a similar type of role you’ll know the day-to-day responsibilities are varied and challenging; typical responsibilities will include -
* Working closely with stakeholders to understand the technical requirements, “order of march” for the network rollout and budget.
* Coordinate development of the business case.
* Work closely with the Engineering Manager, Procurement, Circuit Provisioning team and suppliers to ensure required hardware, software and circuits are ordered in a timely manner.
* Securing adequate resource allocation for projects from stakeholders.
