Job description
We’re looking for a very commercially minded mid-senior level Developer/Tech Manager (exact title TBD) to work within the B2C eComm team for a portfolio of Healthcare eComm brands.
In addition to having a very solid personal tech stack and deep hands-on knowledge working with our core systems and programs (Wordpress and Woocommerce) the technical manager’s responsibilities include working closely with the Head of B2C and eComm management team, to understand project goals and then create detailed project management plans, including costs, time estimates and work schedules that will achieve them. They will also have the ability to quickly understand proprietary systems and work with other inhouse systems experts and stakeholders to ensure B2C eComm is effectively represented and supported.
As the main point of contact on all technical projects, the person will be responsible for providing oversight to all third party providers, setting objectives, and monitoring and optimising processes, etc to achieve results while identifying and mitigating risks.
The right candidate will have worked alongside different cross functional teams and is ambitious and goal driven. The company is well positioned to scale, having traction in the market and now entering a phase of high growth, thus this role has considerable opportunity to grow with the company with potential to expand the team reporting in to them.
Responsibilities
- Scope and manage the entire project life cycles for multiple B2C ecommerce websites
- Monitor technical performance of websites to ensure optimal UX
- Track progress and milestones of technical projects and work with inhouse and third party teams to ensure projects are completed and results are achieved
- Lead Tech team meetings
- Develop best practices and work with wider team to implement
Qualifications
- Hands on experience in site development/programming language knowledge preferrable
- Strong project management skills
- Fluency in Wordpress, WooCommerce required
- Ability to understand the requirements of various stakeholders, create detailed technical requirements along side third party service provider input and manage the inhouse and outside teams to deliver results on or ahead of schedule
- Experience in a high growth ecommerce business required
- Highly motivated and commercially driven
