We are currently seeking competent individuals to fill the role of IT Project Manager on our dynamic team for our client, one of the big five banks

Responsibilities
- Assisting the delivery of technology solutions (from a data and application perspective) to our internal clients within the constraints of time/cost/scope.
- Assist in providing guidance to the project team to ensure efforts are aligned to the project delivery goal.
- Facilitate project control processes, stakeholder management processes, and project gating documents in adherence to bank’s EPMO standards.
- Building and maintaining solid, professional working relationships with peers within the project team and business lines
- Engaging stakeholders (e.g. risk, legal, audit) as needed for consultation and counsel throughout the course of the project
- Reporting project status, roadblocks and milestones to the project stakeholder and sponsors throughout the course of the project
- Assist in multiple projects and their deliverables based on the business value to our clients
- Motivating and fostering high performance team culture throughout the course of the project
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
- 5+ years’ experience or exposure with application-based projects (understanding of data processing and workflows) is essential.
- Experience working on projects, able to assist cross functionality and connect with a variety of teams
- Advanced skills with Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project
- Jira and Confluence experience is a requirement (emphasis on Confluence); may be required to demonstrate skillset in live demo
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Waterfall and Agile), product development methodologies, and tools.
Nice-To-Have Skills:
- Exposure to Compliance Control Room business line
- Compliance management product knowledge
- Capital Markets knowledge
- Project Financial & Resourcing experience/knowledge
- PowerBI knowledge/experience
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication skills to clearly articulate project needs and status amongst various stakeholders, capturing updates and communicating them clearly and precisely
- Demonstrable project management skills to motivate the team in order to achieve project goals.
- Must be flexible, pro-active, result oriented with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills to resolve any project related issues across technical and business teams, as well as provide support for any ad-hoc tasks required to achieve project scope.
Best vs Average:
- Attitude and ability to initiative and complete deliverables with minimal supervision is central to the role.
- Previous bank experience and familiarity with internal processes is a great asset.
- Must be able to understand business requirements and be adaptable to quickly gain product knowledge on the job (compliance management).
Degrees or certifications:
- Undergraduate degree in business or computer science equivalent
- PMP designation is a strong assetnowledge
- Project Financial & Resourcing experience/knowledge
- PowerBI knowledge/experience

Salary: $45.00-$55.00 per hour
