What you’ll do:
  • Shape and ensure the definition of projects; identifying and communicating with stakeholders to ensure project alignment with other key business objectives; project team structures are clearly defined and appropriately resourced.
  • Build and deliver appropriate project, milestone, sprint plans; communicating to stakeholders to maintain visibility of targets, goals and progress.
  • Own the issue and risk management process and log; determine the appropriate mitigation levels for the phases of the project by using the standard Aggreko project controls.
  • Project Execution and leadership of the project team, ensuring team members are highly accountable for their streams or work assignments and that dependencies and resource conflicts across the project streams are well managed.
  • Defining resource dependencies across the ATS teams, business contributors & external partners.
  • Managing project demands; intercepting issues and implementing countermeasures as required.
  • Facilitate and schedule all key project gate reviews to ensure that the required level of management control is in place.
  • Status reporting on progress to plan; communicate key risks and issues to the PMO, Project Team and to Business stakeholders. Presenting information on project outcomes; successes and challenges on a timely basis and shaped to the relevant audience.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement through structured projects review and working within the project management team to improve processes and quality standards.

Professional Skills / Experience / Qualifications
  • Degree qualified in a relevant field is a plus
  • 3-4 years’ experience in a Technology project management role
  • Experience of different delivery methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall or Hybrid approaches.
  • APM or Prince 2 certification - foundation (practitioner desirable)
  • Proven stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in executing Waterfall / Agile projects / Hybrid methodologies
  • Structured approach to problem solving and improvement planning
  • Able to work under pressure and to tight timelines
  • The capability to support the creation of a business case to secure future investment
  • Experience of delivering technical projects in an enterprise environment – blue chip experience a plus
  • Experience of working on vendors selection for products/platforms
  • Managing the delivery of applications into an organisation an advantage
