About the role
The Fashion Retail Academy is currently in a new phase of growth, and we have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and confident Accounts Assistant to support our Finance team. This is a key accounting position to carry out a range of financial processes and assist and support the Financial Controller in day-to-day accounting activities. The focus will be carrying out accounts payable procedures and general accounting activities for two companies (group and subsidiary).
About you
- You must have experience of working in a busy Finance environment in an accounts assistant post, with experience of posting invoices, staff expenses, suppliers’ payments
- You will have excellent IT knowledge, as well as experience of, or the ability to promptly learn Sage and our student records system.
- You must understand prepayments and accruals and have good numeracy skills.
- The ability to work methodically and systematically and to present information clearly and succinctly is key to the role as is the ability to use own initiative, prioritise workload and adhere to tight deadlines, particularly at month end.
- You must have excellent customer service skills and be able to develop and maintain sound working relations with all key college stakeholders.
- To be effective in this role you will be organised, with excellent attention to detail. Your aim will be to act preventatively and use your proactive approach to create an efficient and effective administration process for Finance at the FRA!
