The Fountain Centre is looking to recruit a digital marketing assistant to work at the Fountain Centre, St Luke’s Cancer Centre, Guildford.
The Fountain Centre is an independent charity supporting local people affected by a diagnosis of cancer. As part of our ambitious income generation and communication strategy we are looking for an enthusiastic, skilled person with experience and knowledge of creating exciting and engaging media content, maintaining websites and profile raising. The role will support the team engage with local supporters, communities and businesses to ensure we meet our annual income targets.
The Digital Marketing assistant will be accountable to the Head of Income Generation, and work alongside and be supported by the community engagement and administrator.
There will be some out of hour’s work to support Fountain Centre events and to monitor supporter’s engagement. The post holder is required to be confident communicator and be able to work flexibly across the working week to meet the needs of the service. Excellent IT skills are required with a good understanding of working for a charity.

As part of the income generation team you will be tasked with delivering high quality, flexible, cost effective and class-leading digital marketing, fundraising and communications to enable the Fountain Centre achieve its fundraising objectives. The post holder will use targeted and effective profiling in a variety of media and through the delivery of quality marketing communications. They will work with the team responsible for the Fountain Centre’s digital presence for income generation, corporate identity and fund raising, assisting with the development of the website, social media channels and email programme through the production of compelling and timely content, driving improvement to maximise inbound traffic, improve user journeys and optimise conversion to donations. Some out of hours and weekend work is required.
