Location: Peterborough / Hybrid working (1-2 days in office per week)
Are you a emerging IT Project Manager or Coordinator looking for the next step in your career where you can progress in the future and gain exposure to a varied portfolio of IT projects?
In this role you will gain the opportunity to work on a broad portfolio of IT projects across infrastructure, hardware/software installation, upgrade, new acquisition and ERP projects with a budget between 10k to 20m. Taking responsibility of delivering certain work streams across larger projects and planning, managing and delivering the smaller projects ensuring they are delivered to time, quality and budget.
The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of project management including regular RAID and progress reporting to senior management teams, managing budgets and controlling costs, managing risks and issues and mitigation planning when required.
What you will be doing:
- Assist with and take on the Management of projects in line with IT standards, processes and governance through all stages of a project life cycle.
- Manage project budgets
- Develop and maintain project plans; track progress against plans and manage progress through project lifecycle
- Manage project scope and change control and escalate issues where necessary
- Support the organisation of Project Steering Boards, submitting regular Checkpoint Reports indicating any deviations from plan at either stage or project level and any corrective action taken
- Ensure project objectives are understood and met, ensuring that the Project Team members understand the requirements
What you will bring:
- Achieved or working towards Formal Certified Waterfall Project Management Methodology (e.g. Prince II Practitioner)
- Experience in working on or leading projects within medium to large scale organisations including at least one of enterprise, digital and infrastructure projects.
- Have excellent planning, communication and influencing skills
Location
We will be offering a hybrid working approach with the requirement to be in our Peterborough office ideally 1 day per week. There may be some travel to other UK or international sites dependant on the projects you are supporting.
