Technical Project Executive DLP
Job Summary:
Overall Purpose of the Role
- Management of technology solutions and systems development, helping drive the growth of Walt Disney Travel Company International (WDTCI) business.
- To support WDTCI in achieving the attendance, room nights and revenue goals for Disneyland Paris (DLP) plus working on portfolio initiatives which may support Walt Disney World (WDW) and Disney Cruise Line (DCL).
- Working with Technical Account Manager on development and execution of technology projects, plus supporting day-to-day system updates and stability.
This role will require you to be onsite 4 days a week.
Areas of Responsibility
- Partner with Technical Account Manager and key stakeholders in creating technical specifications, liaising with internal team members and external technology partners, from discovery/development through solution delivery.
- Co-lead (with Technical Account Manager) the management of WDTCI systems, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met, including:
o Theme park ticketing (DerbySoft)
o Transport APIs (easyJet, Eurostar, etc.)
o Payment provider (Worldpay)
o Booking data reporting platform
o 3rd-party data feeds (e.g. Salesforce)
- Partner with Technical Account Manager to build relationships with core technology partners (Disney/external) to support key business drivers.
- Day-to-day account management of external system provider who supplies WDTCI's reservation and back-office systems, escalating priority issues to the Technical Account Manager.
- Demonstrate technical experience and understanding, plus ability to analyse and problem solve to propose technical solutions to meet business needs.
- Work with the Senior Manager (Ecommerce/Tech/Digital) on the digital roadmap, providing strategic input on technology to meet AOP goals.
- Lead business as usual (BAU) systems management, working with Disney/external system providers/third parties to:
o Transform business objectives into structured technical requirements
o Triage and manage bug fixes
o Manage ad-hoc projects
o Define/oversee user acceptance testing
o Take ownership of technical releases, working internally/externally
o Maintain finance tracker for third party development budget
Areas of Accountability
- Accountable for providing effective support to Technical Account Manager in the management of WDTCI systems
- Accountable for identifying and escalating priority issues to the Technical Account Manager in a timely manner
- Accountable for delivering against annual performance commitments
- Accountable for cultivating and maintaining productive relationships and collaborating across departments internally/externally
Experience and Professional Qualifications Required
- Experience with a background in business analysis and technical/systems support (travel industry preferable) or educational equivalent
- Business analyst experience of requirements gathering and shaping system solutions desirable
- Experience with issue-tracking tools (e.g. JIRA)
- Experience of writing clear, comprehensive documentation/specifications
- Experience within a large, matrix organisation, preferred
Skills Required

- Presentation skills with the ability to communicate ideas
- Good organisation and time management with ability to prioritise effectively
- Proficient with Excel, Word, Outlook
- Brand knowledge of Disney and product knowledge of DDI brands, beneficial
- Flexibility for occasional travel may be required
- Contribution to ad-hoc projects as the business requires
- Flexible hours may be required to meet business needs
