GCL B2B Ltd are searching for an enthusiastic Digital Marketing Executive to join us. We’re currently focused on growing our market presence as a global B2B agency and supporting the sales team to maintain a healthy pipeline of high quality leads.
The Job Role:
The Marketing Executive will support the management and delivery of the GCL marketing strategy. This will be a varied role, offering experience across multiple areas of marketing with the opportunity to continually grow and develop your marketing skillset. Typical responsibilities include copywriting, social media, emails and marketing automation, blog posting and website maintenance, SEO and paid ads.
The Marketing Executive will report to the Managing Director and work with and be supported by the Sales team and Client Delivery team to provide digital and inbound marketing. The Marketing Executive role will be a “hands-on” position and therefore we are looking for a passionate individual who has a creative mindset, is eager to get stuck in, learn new things and has some knowledge of marketing principles to employ.
We’re keen to work with the right individual to develop talent and challenge the ever-changing marketing landscape with new ideas and techniques.
Role and Responsibilities:
· Help to maintain the GCL Marketing Plan.
· Update the GCL website by working with our hosting agency and updating content.
· Write and develop engaging content for the GCL content calendar including blogs, newsletters, case studies & social media posts.
· Deliver social media adverts, analytics and reporting.
· Use SEO techniques to drive traffic to our websites.
· Create email communications and marketing automations to support GCL campaigns.
· Work with the Sales and Client Delivery teams to build strong relationships with key and target accounts to enable production of case studies and testimonials.
· Support the GCL Appointment making team/Sales team by providing leads and prospects from marketing activities.
· Support the Sales team with sales and marketing materials.
Candidate Skills and Experience:
Rather than years of experience, we’re looking for certain skills and attitudes that would be beneficial in a marketing position. Firstly, an enthusiasm for marketing! Other key skills include:
· Research capability
· Excellent copywriting across various formats and tones
· Experience of LinkedIn and other social media channels for B2B marketing
· Eager to learn
· Computer literate and able to adapt to different systems and software
· Project planning and organisation
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Excellent organisational and time management skills
· Self-motivated, enthusiastic & positive with the ability to work effectively autonomously or with a team
Skills that would be beneficial include:
· Experience of marketing automation platforms – Hubspot preferred
· Marketing a business service to the B2B sector
· Writing/ recycling marketing content – blogs, e-books, press releases, web pages, brochures, case histories, email marketing
· Knowledge of PPC and SEO strategies
· Website management and improvement
· Experience of inbound marketing, managing leads & running campaigns to increase engagement
This is a flexible role and may be full or part-time.
Salary £20k - £30k pro-rata, depending on experience.
You will be required to work in our Birmingham office 1-3 days per week.
