My London based client have a short term interim need for a PMO Manager to join them for 2 months to help set up some structure and templates around their Digital PMO office with a desired focus on delivering a structure for resource planning/Management and Developing and Maintaining Portfolio Roadmaps & Reporting .

The successful PMO Manager will have demonstrable experience of developing and implementing resource management strategies to optimise the allocation of (circa 100) resources, ideally for digital Programmes and Projects. They will have worked with PM's & team leads to ensure that correct resources are aligned to the right projects at the right time. They must have demonstrable experience of resource utilization, have ability to identify bottlenecks and make recommendations for resource optimization and allocation adjustments. The PMO Manager will have experience of working with recruitment teams to ensure availability of skilled resources.

They will also have demonstrable experience of developing and maintaining digital portfolio roadmaps ensuring they reflect strategic objectives involving projects with investment value of £5m-£10m. Have experience of working closely with project managers and product owners to align individual project roadmaps with the overall digital portfolio roadmap.

The PMO manager will have experience of effective reporting mechanisms to provide timely and accurate insights into digital programme and project and product performance including Financials, milestones, velocity, risks etc and experience of reporting and presenting to Senior Leadership.

Skills and Experience;

  • Demonstrable experience as a PMO manager focussing on digital Programmes and Projects
  • Demonstrable experience of resource management techniques, capacity planning, and allocation strategies and in developing tools to support
  • Demonstrable experience of developing and maintaining digital portfolio roadmaps
  • Demonstrable experience of experience of effective programme / project reporting - including Financials, milestones, velocity, risks
  • Strong understanding of digital technologies, agile methodologies, and project management frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Prince II).
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to gather and interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Solid knowledge of portfolio management practices and experience in developing and maintaining portfolio roadmaps
  • Expertise in project management tools and software for reporting, resource allocation, and project tracking.
  • Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, AgilePM, or similar are highly desirable
