Founded in 1910 Scudamore's is Cambridge's premier punt tour and boat hire company, and we are all about creating unforgettable memories for our visitors.
We are now seeking friendly Cashier and Customer Service Representatives, and we would love to hear from you if you are keen to join our close-knit, hardworking team! You will be responsible for handling transactions, providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our punting business.
What's involved?
- Operating a welcoming, efficient and courteous ticketing and information service.
- Bringing a high level of accuracy and security to payment handling and station administration.
- Keeping track of the tour schedule and self-hire craft as well as helping customers to board and disembark.
- Maintaining a safe working environment for all.
What’s on offer?
- Competitive pay, based on an hourly rate and shared sales commission. Cashiers can expect to earn an average of £10.50 to £11.50 per hour.
- Flexible working, with both full-time, part-time and weekend hours available. You are in charge of your work pattern and are free to work around other commitments
- 28 days’ paid holiday per annum (pro rata for part-time staff) and pension contributions.

What availability do I need?
This is entirely up to you! We’re open all year around and offer both full-time and part-time hours. Some of our staff work full-time all year round, whilst others with family, study or other job commitments come to us mainly at weekends or during holiday periods.
