As a Logistics Assistant, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing all aspects of the shipping and logistics process within the organization. You will need to work effectively alongside our Customs Brokers to ensure that shipments are shipped on time and ensure that goods are transported efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines. Your expertise will contribute to enhancing the overall supply chain operations, customer satisfaction, and company profitability.
As a Purchasing Assistant you will be responsible for the raising of Purchase Orders in the system on our Mass Production suppliers and monitoring the supply of the orders to our production partners. Any issues or delays will need to be escalated immediately to our Commodity Managers and Supply Chain Director. Attention to detail is critical in this role to ensure that PO’s are raised correctly on the suppliers and delivery dates etc are adhered to.
This is a new role that will oversee two areas of responsibility 1) Shipping and Logistics and 2) Purchase Order administration for our Mass Production suppliers which both need to be performed to a high standard.
We are looking for someone who has outstanding communication skills and can manage several projects and challenges at the same time and has the ability to prioritise and manage stakeholders with a professional approach. This is a demanding role that requires high level of attention to detail and deals with customers, suppliers as well as our internal stakeholders. The ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks is integral to this role.
Responsibilities – Logistics Assistant
- Be the focal point / go to person in our organisation for all national and international shipments. Coordinate and oversee the transportation of goods from suppliers to customers, warehouses, or distribution centres.
- Understand the administrative requirements of making shipments and work closely with our Customs Brokerage service provider to ensure that all required forms and customs clearances are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Track and Trace: Implement systems and processes to track shipments throughout the entire transportation journey. Provide regular updates to stakeholders on the status of shipments and estimated delivery times.
- Compliance and Regulations: Work with our Customs Brokerage service provider to ensure that Envisics is up-to-date with shipping regulations, trade laws, and customs requirements, both domestically and internationally. Ensure that all shipments adhere to legal and regulatory standards, including proper documentation and permits.
- Cost Control: Monitor shipping expenses and identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising service quality. Implement measures to improve transportation efficiency and reduce shipping-related expenses.
Responsibilities – Purchasing Assistant
- Raise all Mass Production purchase orders in a timely fashion for our Mass Production suppliers and submit for approval to our Commodity Managers and Supply Chain Director.
- Monitor the approval process through our systems to ensure that the PO is released on time. Escalate any hold ups or issues to the Commodity Mangers and Supply Chain Director for resolution.
- Maintain an overall Excel Workbook that details all PO’s raised on our suppliers and the status of deliveries etc against those suppliers.

- Intermediate level Excel Workbook skills or ability to be trained to that level
- Need to have good working knowledge of Logistics services and / or Purchasing necessary.
