About the role...
An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Technical Officer to join our team where the main aim will be to provide high standard support and service to the Operational and Technical Pollution Service in particular with regard to the following areas, including Private Sector Housing, Nuisance/Anti-Social Behaviour, Public Health, Enviro-crime, Private Water Supplies and Air Pollution Regulation.
As part of a close knit team, you will work diligently within the Operational and Technical Pollution Service to deliver a high quality service to residents and businesses within the local area. You will need to be possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to interact with different consumer types at all levels as this role will include giving advice and guidance within the related area.
As you will be working with various caseloads, you will need the ability to work within a team and as under your own initiative to plan, organise and monitor workloads efficiently to ensure agreed levels of service and performance targets are achieved. Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate will need to have a proactive and flexible approach to provide practical problem solving solutions as well as managing risks and issues effectively. You will need…
- A Level, BTEC or similar, or equivalent experience
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, cope with competing demands and problem solve
- Customer focus and an ability to deal with people in a professional and diplomatic manner
- Flexible, positive, motivated, organised and effective at time management
- Previous use of relevant ICT systems
- Knowledge or experience of working in a multidisciplinary environment
Special Conditions…
- There may be a requirement to work at other Publica Group Limited and/or client locations to meet the needs of the business.
- Expected to work reasonable additional hours in line with the needs of the service
- Ability to work remotely using supplied ICT
