Salary details: Band G, £27,852 - £30,151 (pay award pending)

About the role
We are looking for a Trainee Legal Executive to make a difference to the lives of the people of Rotherham. Now is the time to join our committed and forward thinking Legal Team at Rotherham Borough Council. Building on the success of our current team, we are seeking motivated, committed and driven individuals to work with us.
The role will include a number of training seats within a number of the legal services department of Rotherham Borough Council to include support to the current teams: -
- Child Care
- Litigation
- Adult Legal
- Commercial and Property services.
- Governance
There will be an expectation upon the trainee to attend and complete all necessary work and exams in connection with the accredited Cilex Course up to Level 6 on a part time basis (20% of your working role will be allowed to enable you to complete the requisite learning with an external provider) alongside working within the Legal Team. This is an Apprenticeship role which will require additional work to be carried out to satisfy the conditions of the apprenticeship.
We are therefore looking for an individual who can demonstrate their commitment to Rotherham Borough Council and who will remain committed over a number of years. In return, the successful candidate will receive the necessary training to be able to develop their career.

From 1st April 2017 to 31st March 2024 employees paid at Band D and above are subject to a temporary pay reduction of 1.15% spread out by means of a weekly / monthly deduction (dependent on pay frequency) from each pay period over the full financial year. In recognition of implementing this temporary measure, those who experience a pay reduction will be awarded of three additional day’s leave (pro rata for part-time).
