Technical Manager – Food Manufacturing
Location: East Riding of Yorkshire
Salary: £45,000 - £47,000
Summary:
The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for the provision of defined technical services and food safety and quality management systems to the site working alongside other members of the management team
The Role:
- Deliver food safety and quality assurance for the products manufactured and packed on site
- Ensure that products manufactured on site comply with UK Regulations
- Implement, develop and maintain the Food Safety and Quality Management System in accordance to the following; BRC Global Standard for Food, FSSC22000 standard and customer food manufacturing standards, codes of practice and protocols
- Manage the overall management of the on-site laboratories and technical team
- Manage BRC, customer and other quality audits as required
The Candidate:
- The ideal candidate will have a relevant food science/food manufacturing degree of equivalent
- HACCP, Food Safety, Health & Safety (IOSH or equivalent), food science and food labelling legislation
- Frozen product experience
- Excellent people management skills
- Analytical and able to problem solve
