Job Summary
Waveguide LLC is an independent consulting and design firm committed to providing superior service and comprehensive designs for our clients in a dynamic, collaborative, team environment. Our technology expertise includes audiovisual systems consulting and design, voice and data communications infrastructure, communication-friendly acoustic environments, and ongoing AV operations services. We work together as a team to create strategic technology plans, efficient building and infrastructure designs, and effective technology system solutions to drive the success of our clients’ organizations. Statement of Duties
We are currently seeking qualified candidates for an immediate opening as an audiovisual systems design associate who will be responsible for supporting both the system design and drawing production of audiovisual systems for larger corporate and higher education AV projects. This role is anticipated to be full remote / work from home with minimal (<10%) travel required (mainly for training and occasional staff meetings or project site reviews) assuming the candidate meets the minimum home-office requirements.

- Product Evaluation
- Product Research
- Infrastructure Drawing/Model
- Power/Data Drawing/Model
- AV Equipment Plans, Sections, and Elevations
- Level Drawing/Model maintenance
- Assist in major design project
Qualifications*
*
- 1-2 years professional experience
- Relevant two-year technical degree (e.g. AS Engineering Technology), or higher
- AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) certification
- Experience with both AutoCAD and Revit design software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- General understanding of commercial/institutional AV technology applications and operations, including audio systems, video display technology, audio/video teleconferencing, digital signage, AV signal management and integrated control
- Basic familiarity with commercial/institutional building design and construction, including understanding of typical building systems (i.e. HVAC, electrical, lighting, building controls, security, etc.)
- Suitable environment for audio and video calls, 90+% remote work anticipated. Minimal travel required (<10%, mainly for training and occasional staff meetings or project site reviews)
