Role Summary
We are looking for a Technical Consultant to join our growing Implementation and Support team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing 1st, 2nd and some 3rd line technical support across our entire customer base.
Core Duties/Responsibilities
Provide technical support for the EQ Riskfactor applications for all existing customers, including; remote meeting, email and telephone support, and (occasionally) site visits.
Work within customers' Service Level Agreements; satisfying predefined response times, resolution times, and escalation paths.
Log and track all Support Cases using Jira helpdesk.
Create, test and deliver hotfix and minor technical changes to customers, often working within customers' own strictly defined change control processes.
Basic technical consultancy and troubleshooting, including; data analysis, data integrity checking, and system performance analysis.
Customise / configure the EQ Riskfactor product to meet clients' requirements.
Carry out system, function and regression testing, using manual and automated test scripts.
Identify and log defects via a defect tracking system (Jira, Confluence and Microsoft Team Foundation Server).
Create detailed test plans, execute test scripts and document results.
Skills, Capabilities and Attributes
Recent experience using Microsoft SQL Server (2014 and later), and Transact-SQL (T-SQL). The successful candidate will proficient in T-SQL, with demonstrable ability to write complex queries using joins, aggregate functions, etc.
Experience in managing and configuring Windows Server (2012 and later).
Good analytical and problem solving skills. A logical, methodical approach to problem solving is essential.
Exposure to Microsoft IIS, version 8, and above.
Experience of supporting software within a Windows networked environment, including Active Directory, Group Policy and relevant security and encryption technologies such as SSL / TLS.
Desirable to have experience with creating and debugging PowerShell scripts.
Desirable to have experience with Azure DevOps, including deployment Pipelines.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a confident, professional attitude.
Proven ability to meet deadlines and work within defined SLAs.
Experience of supporting production systems, complying with structured change-control procedures, and handling customer-sensitive (financial) data.
Prepared to occasionally travel both in the UK and less occasionally abroad.
Must be able to work proactively as part of a small team.
