Job description
Technical Artist, Avatars Experiences Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain tools to streamline the creation of digital avatars
- Contribute to and help maintain a wide array of existing workflows and tool
- Partner closely with art and engineering teams to define, maintain existing and develop new well-architected content creation pipelines
- Design the pipelines with artists and designers from concept to deployment
- Quickly solve issues with your cross-functional leads
- Ability to collaborate and iterate based on the team's needs
Minimum Qualifications:
- Extensive content pipeline development experience, with emphasis on building efficient and user friendly pipelines and tools for content creation and asset tracking, in AAA games, FX and/or big tech companies.
- Knowledge of pipeline and tools design and implementation/optimisation of those in large, multi-team, distributed environments
- Experience with Maya/Maya SDK Python/PyMEL, C++ API, PySide/PyQt
- Experience developing for asset management systems like Shotgrid or Ftrack
- Experience working with and developing for Unity or Unreal
- Experience collaborating on multi-disciplinary teams
- Experience communicating across team members including engineers and artists
- Experience with real time asset implementation and optimization techniques
- Experience working with Unity or Unreal
Preferred Qualifications:
- In depth knowledge of Perforce, git and other source control systems
- Familiarity with rigging
- Experience with character customisation systems
- Familiarity with animation principles
- Virtual reality experience
