Job description

As a DNA, Alcohol and Drug Collection Technician / Phlebotomist, you will be required to visit donors in their own homes, clinics, places of work, solicitors, and social workers offices so being able to drive is essential. You will collect samples such as DNA, Hair, and Blood so having a phlebotomy certificate and experience to take blood is highly advantageous. Hair and DNA sample collection can be trained by our trainers.

You must be a strong communicator and able to explain the process to each donor making then feel at ease. This role would suit those that have a current or previous background in nursing, police, or social care.

Attention to detail is essential to deliver an exceptional service to clients with 100% accuracy and precision. You must accurately record, log all information and interactions with donors and provide detailed updates.

Your appointments will be booked around your availability, which you will notify the client services team of the weeks and months ahead.

ANGLIA DNA is a real success story and has seen rapid growth, which is set to continue under the leadership of its’ dynamic owner. The company provides a variety of medical tests from DNA samples, including parentage, drugs, alcohol, disease, and many others. We are a small flexible team and require additional self-employed Collection Technicians to visit donors to collect samples.

Driving License is essential.

You must be self employed.

Phlebotomy – 2 years minimum preferred.

Desirable - Previous experience of collection of DNA, Hair/nails, Bloods both IV and DBS.

Competitive sample fees, plus mileage

We are looking for someone to work part time 2 – 3 days a week.
