Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Analytics Engineer to join our analytics team to build and maintain scalable and reliable analytics solutions that support our business needs and goals . In this position, you are responsible for designing and developing tabular models and semantic layers using star schema, DAX, row level security, Power BI, dbt, data ops, CI/CD, DevOps. This position will also collaborate with other analytics engineers, data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure data quality, security, and governance.

- Apply data ops, CI/CD, DevOps principles and practices to automate and streamline analytics processes and ensure continuous delivery and integration of analytics solutions
- Apply DAX language and functions to define calculations and measures in tabular models
- Apply row level security principles and practices to ensure data access control and compliance
- Apply star schema modeling concepts and techniques, such as dimensional modeling, fact tables, dimension tables, etc. to optimize data storage and performance
- Design and develop tabular models and semantic layers using Power BI and other tools to enable self-service analytics and reporting for business users
- Document and communicate analytics solutions, standards, best practices, and guidelines to ensure consistency and alignment across the analytics team and the organization
- Mentor and coach junior analytics engineers and provide technical guidance and feedback
- Monitor and troubleshoot analytics issues and incidents and provide root cause analysis and resolution
- Research and evaluate new technologies and trends in the analytics domain and propose improvements and innovations
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications

- Valid driver's license in state of residence with a clean driving record (when applicable for the position)
- High school diploma or GED equivalent, required
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field
- Seven years of experience in analytics engineering or related roles
- Deep knowledge of Power BI development and administration, including DAX, M language, Power Query Editor, etc.
- Deep knowledge of tabular modeling concepts and techniques, such as dimensional modeling, star schema, snowflake schema, etc.
- Deep knowledge of DAX language and functions for defining calculations and measures in tabular models
- Deep knowledge of row level security principles and practices for ensuring data access control and compliance
- Skilled in data ops, CI/CD, DevOps tools and methodologies, such as Git, Azure DevOps, etc.
- Strong understanding of data quality, security, and governance principles and frameworks
- Effectively communicate in English; both oral and written
- Interpret a variety of communications (verbal, non-verbal, written, listening and visual)
- Maintain confidentiality, discretion and caution when handling sensitive information
- Multi-task along with attention to detail
- Self-motivation, organized, time-management and deductive problem solving skills
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Email transmission and communication
- Internet navigation and research
- Microsoft applications; Outlook, Word and Excel
- Office equipment; fax machine, copier, printer, phone and computer and/or tablet
- Lift and carry office equipment at times
