- join the team in onboading initiative for Confluent Cloud - Kafka (Azure based SaaS)
- buildup support for cloud technologies and Kafka
- desing, document and provide 3rd level support operating model for Kafka
- maintain a risk-aware and secure environment
- work with application teams to deliver their middleware requirements
- work on automating processes
- spot problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks
- improve reliability, quality, and time-to-market of software solutions
- measure and optimize system performance

Technology Integration Services provide a managed service for Tibco EMS, IBM MQ and Confluent Cloud (Kafka). The team is spread around the globe and provides services to all business divisions of UBS, 800 brokers and 1400 queue managers are supported.

Your expertise
We are searching for someone who brings fresh ideas, demonstrates a unique and informed viewpoint, and enjoys collaborating with a cross-functional team to develop real-world solutions and positive user experiences
- have excellent technical skills in Kafka. Ideally these skills will have been gained in a complex operational environment where security and risk aversion are important.
- knowledge of the other products like IBM MQ or Tibco EMS would be advantageous
- have good Unix (Linux) skills. Scripting experience would be advantageous
- knowledge of IPSoft/IPCenter or other automation tools.
- possess ITIL knowledge
- possess good general PC skills
- have a track record of suggesting and implementation of strategies that increase system reliability and performance
- possess ability to solve complex issues, good at problem statement analysis and solution design thinking
- shows proactive approach to spotting problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks
- understanding or experience with SRE/DevOps models would be an advantage
- be a team player with good organizational and communication skills
- have good written and verbal communication skills in English
- can interact well with both Business and IT personnel
- can take responsibility for allocated tasks and see them through to successful completion
