Job description

Company Overview & Culture:

We are an exciting fintech company, on a mission to disrupt the financial services industry with its innovative tech and platform. We have a long-term goal to provide all businesses (from insurance brokers and distributors to SMEs and scale ups) with the tools they need to start, run, and grow their businesses successfully.

Stubben Edge Group (SEG) specialises in creating innovative products and technology for financial services and insurance industries. We are growing fast and undertaking a number of acquisitions and new projects - we need a project manager to coordinate the many strands to deliver synergies and efficiencies.

We are looking for a bright, motivated individual who can communicate across the business and galvanise multiple stakeholders in pursuit of fast-moving strategic objectives in a dynamic working environment. Do you have the right blend of character, attitude, and expertise?

The Role & Attributes Required:

  • This is a challenging role that blurs project management responsibilities with the duties of a scrum master in a dynamic start-up environment.
  • Working as part of the Stubben Edge planning group, you will coordinate technology planning across multiple products/projects.
  • As a project manager, you will plan, review, and analyse progress of work and address production issues during sprints; plan releases and upgrades with Dev Ops; manage resources and manage/mitigate risks and dependencies.
  • You will understand priority features, schedule releases into a product roadmap and coordinate sprints. To be successful in this role, you should be able to work with cross-functional teams to manage project/product releases to meet the needs of the business.
  • As a scrum master - ideally for multiple teams, applying agile principles, practices, and theory - you will proactively seek to remove impediments or guide the team to remove impediments; you will prioritise the backlog across multiple sources and stakeholders; ensure work is transparent and progress against goals is measured effectively and made available to stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to confidently present their work and represent the team/issues at all levels across the business.
