We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, friendly, self-motivated and conscientious caretaker to join our estates team based at Sprowston Community Academy. Duties include carrying out basic maintenance, building repairs and keeping the school and grounds clean, safe and tidy. We welcome applicants with experience of working within a caretaker or maintenance role ideally within a school environment. It is essential that applicants have good administrative, communication and ICT skills along with a good understanding of legislation and regulatory compliance as it applies to school premises such as Health & Safety, COSHH, asbestos and legionella.
Applicants should possess excellent attention to detail and organisational skills along with a flexible approach and the ability to work independently and as part of a busy team. Personal qualities are of paramount importance and the person appointed is expected to be approachable, professional and reliable.

The hours for this post will be 37 hours per week, all year round. Worked Monday to Thursday 8.00am to 4.00pm & Friday 8.30am to 4.00pm. Flexibility is essential to cover absence.
