AG Events
Full Time Heaton, North East England, England 24960 - 12.04 GBP HOURLY Today
Job description

AG Events is an award-winning events company based in Newcastle Upon Tyne, with an energetic team of outgoing, creative and fun individuals. We are currently looking for a new dedicated member of our events team for a minimum of 2 days a week (more work available on request).

Due to the training required and events being booked in months in advance, we are looking for someone to join us for the long term.

Our warehouse is based in Cramlington, but we work all over Newcastle / the North East

The role is perfect for those who want responsibility, independence and do not like to be stuck doing the same thing in the same place. Each shift will be different and at a different location, whether this is at a wedding venue, bar, restaurant or private house. You will be in charge of the AG Events equipment during the event and you will be responsible for liaising with venue staff and customers.

Shifts will mostly be on a Friday and Saturday (including bank holidays), with the occasional midweek shift. There will be shifts every weekend with work dates being confirmed at least 1 month in advance.

You will be an integral member of the AG Events team!

Your actual role will change per shift, we find this to be one of the best parts of the job, as each shift is different! Full training will be given and jobs may include, but are not limited to:

- Attending various events with equipment to set up and run (if required a van to be provided).

- Operating Photo Booths

- Setting up audio equipment

- Liaising with venue staff to organise deliveries

There are many more aspects to the role, the above is a small insight into what you will be doing, more details will be provided during an interview.

The role will involve some heavy lifting to get the equipment into venues.

Full training will be provided, and successful candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Be extremely dependable
  • Have some computer knowledge
  • Have some audio tech experience (this is not essential as full training is provided, however experience would be beneficial along with a love of music)
  • Be smart in appearance
  • Reliable and Punctual
  • Be willing to work regular weekend evenings
  • Have an outgoing, confident and fun personality
  • You must hold a clean driving license (with your own transport to get to our warehouse and some events)
  • Must be confident / able to drive a van

Whilst working for AG events you will essentially be invited to hundreds of weddings and parties and you’re basically getting paid to have fun! Interacting with guests and getting to know staff at venues is an incredibly fun part of the job. If you think you have what it takes to join us, simply send us an email describing why you think you would be ideal to join our team!

Good Luck!
